John Hofmeister Comments On Issues Surrounding Recent Oil Spill

The former President of Shell Oil, John Hofmeister, appeared as a featured guest on the Friday, May14th episode of "Larry King Live" on CNN to discuss solutions for cleaning up the oil spill that resulted from the April 20th BP oil rig explosion.

Hofmeister is an individual with a unique perspective on not only the oil industry, but on the nation’s energy situation as a whole.  An expert in his field, he is the former President of the Shell Oil Company as well as the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization Citizens for Affordable Energy which exists, “To educate citizens and government officials about pragmatic, non-partisan affordable energy solutions, environmental protection, energy alternatives, efficiency, infrastructure, public policy, competitiveness, social cohesion, and quality of life.”   He has also written a book entitled 'Why We Hate the Oil Companies:  Straight Talk From an Energy Insider', which is due for release on May 25th.
