With 70 million users, Pinterest is one of the smaller social media platforms (compared to Facebook with over 1.19 billion monthly active users). Although the user base is globally much smaller, Pinterest has proven to be the best platform showcasing products and driving commerce. This can be seen as 43% of people prefer Pinterest to associate with retailers or brands and research shows that the most used verbs on Pinterest include “use”, “look”, “want”, and “need”. Pinterest continues to be user focused adding new features such as rich pins and related pins adapting to users’ wants and needs.
