As of September 2013, more than one in three Americans aged 16 and older owned a tablet. In September 2010, this percentage was a mere 4%. While statistics show that higher education and household income tend to be trends of those who purchase a tablet, the introduction of new low-cost options could lead to even more growth in tablet ownership. Tablets are now seen in healthcare, businesses, education, and more. From better engaging students to improving patient care, tablets are taking over.
