The American Association for the Advancement of Science once again chose Apollo Matrix to bring their interactive online poster to life.
After the success of the previous poster, AAAS and Zeiss moved to create a new interactive online poster for a different class of microscopes. This time, the online version displays as a fully responsive, single-scrolling site featuring video and animation, not to mention the opportunity to “learn more” at every turn.
Team Apollo wanted to keep the same look and feel of the original print poster, while rendering the large volume of information in a way that is friendly to digital readers. The majority of viewers come from web, but the poster has some clever innovations to keep mobile viewers engaged as well.
Each photo on the site is clickable for an expanded view, and links to the videos are cleverly placed in “Learn More” dropdown options to minimize the real estate they use on the main site. The videos also play in modals to keep loading times down, ensuring increased engagement for both web and mobile.
